Our double-height living and dining area is framed in huge original timbers. Large windows open on views of our garden and across the Hakuba Valley, filling the house with natural light. Our woodstove, underfloor heating, and A/C ensure year-round comfort.
Tamaki accommodates up to eight guests, across three bedrooms and a traditional tatami room that can be set up with futons. Two separate bathrooms allow for extra privacy and less time waiting. We have filled Tamaki with Japanese art, objects, and design touches for a memorable stay in Japan.
Our large, fully equipped kitchen allows multiple guests to help with cooking, whether a quick breakfast before heading out or a relaxing evening meal around our oversized dining table. Our garden doubles as an outdoor dining room, with barbecues, outdoor furniture, unbreakable dinnerware, sun shading, and outdoor lighting.
We are licensed rental car providers and have this seven-seater Toyota Alphard exclusively for guests who pre-book. It has 4WD and snow tyres and a board carrier in winter. With a van, you are ten minutes from anywhere in Hakuba, every ski resort, every restaurant, every shop, every hot spring, and every viewpoint. Super nice hosts, a beautiful and spacious log house. Probably here is one of the best Airbnb places in Japan or even in the world. We stayed with 8 family members including some teenagers and it was enough space for 8. We enjoyed some nice BBQ with gas stoves at the front garden, we can sit at a wide outdoor table with 8 chairs. Highly recommend for a big family or a group of 5-6+. Definitely we would come back.

The interior is bright and clean, and the view from the garden was wonderful. The owner was very friendly, and because they were nearby I always felt reassured. Next time Iād like to stay for around two nights and take my time.
